The payout is based on 3 factors:
- The karat type
- 24k is considered 99.9% pure
- 18k is considered 75% pure
- 14k is considered 58.3% pure
- 10k is considered 41.6% pure
- The weight (grams)
- We weigh all your precious metals in Troy ounces. There are 31.1 grams per Troy ounce.
- Pennyweight (DWT) equals 1.555 grams. When someone quotes a price in Pennyweight it sounds like you are getting more than you are.
- The spot price of gold on the day of the event
- Gold can change from minute to minute. West Coast Gold Parties Inc. assumes the risk after paying you for your gold. If the price of gold goes down, you still have your money, but we will get less from the refinery when we sell it to them.
- We purchase all gold including: yellow, white, rose or dental gold, class rings, assorted rings, chains, charms, gold watches, lockets, cufflinks, bracelets, brooches, wedding rings, coins, gold or silver bars, silver tea sets, sterling flatware etc.
- The West Coast Gold Parties Inc. Gold Appraisers can remove most stones from your jewelry. The removal is done at the party and your stones are immediately returned to you. This must be requested at the time of the party as the gold is sent to the refinery for processing every few days.
- We encourage everyone to just bring it all with them to the party. The West Coast Gold Parties Inc. Gold Appraisers will test every piece of gold and separate it by karat type and let you know if it real or gold plated (costume jewelry). Your items that are not purchased by West Coast Gold Parties are given back to you at the event.
- Once your gold has been tested and weighed, West Coast Gold Parties Inc. will make you an offer to purchase your gold. You are under no obligation to sell and your items are simply returned to you at the event.
- There are several options for selling your gold. You can mail it in to a recycling service, sell it to a jeweler or a pawn shop, or sell it to a mobile buyer such as West Coast Gold Parties Inc. Not all options are equal. West Coast Gold Parties Inc. has professionally trained buyers that will assess each piece that you are selling, and tell you how much it is worth. We will remove stones for you at the party, and we will tell you if your jewelry has additional worth above the scrap gold value. You watch the entire process, so you know that our information is accurate. You are under no obligation to sell after your assessment and your items are immediately returned, unlike mail in services that may take weeks. Many of our consumers have done comparison shopping and have repeatedly told us that we are more competitive than the jewelers that have made them offers. Plus, selling your gold at a West Coast Gold Parties Inc. Gold Party is fun, stress free and done in the comfort of a home setting. Additionally, we bring the food with us to the party or offer the hostess a food credit.
- Once West Coast Gold Parties Inc. has purchased your gold, the sale is final. West Coast Gold Parties Inc. cannot return any items that have been sold.
